Customer Service Representitive
Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for our customers, distributors, and OEM partners. You’ll manage quotes, process orders, and coordinate shipments while ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. You’ll also build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support sales growth and exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of related customer service, inside sales, or order processing experience (or a combination of education and experience).
- Technical & Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn Douglas products, their applications, and related order processes.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics 365, accurate data entry, and excellent communication skills.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Other Requirements: Valid state driver’s license; background, DMV, credit, and drug/alcohol screenings may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Professionally represent Douglas products and build positive relationships with customers by phone, email, and other channels.
- Accurately enter quotes, convert them into orders, and process all required paperwork to ensure a smooth and efficient order-to-shipment process.
- Follow up on quotations and manage assigned customer accounts to drive sales growth.
- Provide a high level of customer service by establishing clear, timely communication with both internal and external partners.
- Develop a working knowledge of Douglas products and their mechanical applications to better support customer needs.
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiently to manage customer information, quotes, and orders.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
- Demonstrate trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Organize and manage your workload independently while collaborating closely with colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing training to strengthen product knowledge and service skills.
- Support additional assignments or projects as needed.
- Maintain regular, consistent attendance during business hours, with flexibility for occasional extra hours as required.
