Conveyor Component Specialist

Job Summary

Prepare products for shipment, complete final assembly of products and painting packaging of products, and help ensure on time shipments that ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extensive use of tools associated with the assigned job task.
  • Pay attention to quality and help ensure that the customer receives only the highest quality product.
  • Establish good communications and working rapport with team members to insure that a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
  • Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
  • Stand continuously for a 8 hour shift with overtime as required by company.
  • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
  • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company.
  • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is a requirement. Overtime as required by the company.

    WELDER FITTER

    Job Summary

    Fit and weld Douglas conveyor components and engineered solutions. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment and able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Help ensure on time shipments and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

    • Establish good communications and working rapport with supervisors, engineers and manufacturing personnel to insure a high level of customer service is delivered.
    • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
    • Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
    • Stand continuously for an 8 hour shift with overtime as required by company.
    • Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
    • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
    • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company.
    • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
    • Regular, consistent attendance is a requirement. Overtime as required by the company.

    Machinist (CNC & Manual)

    Job Summary

    Responsible for programming, operating and maintaining CNC machining equipment and manual machining equipment as required. This includes programming, loading and unloading of machines, operating the machines, cleaning and maintaining the machines as directed. Machines include, but are not limited to, CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, vertical lathe, broach, pedestal grinders, and other types of equipment required to perform this job. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and a quality product.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Extensive use of equipment and machinery associated with the assigned job task.
    • Establish good communications and working rapport with team members to help ensure a high level of customer service is delivered.
    • A high level of attention to detail is essential.
    • Write programs in M and G code for the CNC equipment.
    • Make program adjustments and alter set-up on CNC equipment.
    • Set-up and operate manual and CNC lathes, CNC mills and related equipment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
    • Read and understand engineering drawings.
    • Read a measuring tape, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and other measuring devices as required to produce and/or perform quality inspections of parts.
    • Use basic math and geometry to make calculations relating to part geometry.
    • Complete required quality control inspections and documentation.
    • Lift 50 pounds.
    • Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by company. Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
