PRODUCTION PLANNING SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The Production Planning Specialist works with the Purchasing Agent and Plant Manager to drive continuous improvement of quality and on-time order shipment by ensuring that all needed resources are available on-time for the plant to achieve the production plan while also ensuring that policies and procedures are followed as well as develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Planning, organizing, directing and ensuring that orders exceed our customers’ expectations.  Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.Exit Visual Builder

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and productive work environment.
  • Confidential, understands the ethical standards required for the position.
  • Adhere to company policies.
  • Extensive use of computers and computer programs including but not limited to Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Programs, Sage ERP System and to support the application of new software tools necessary to achieve the company goals.

  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.

  • Regular, consistent attendance, available to deal with daily issues during normal business hours, odd or extra hours will be required as needed.
  • Fill in for the Purchasing Agent in the event of absence.
  • Receive in and breakdown sales orders daily and integrate new orders into the previously developed production plan for the production team.  Identify conflicts in the production plan and work to resolve those issues.  Issue the production plans to the respective teams as required.
  • Update required reports daily.
  • Be attentive to sales orders that may cause material or any other issues for production.
  • Work with the Purchasing Agent, Plant Manager, Engineering, Department Supervisors, and Customer service to help ensure on time delivery of a quality product, minimize problems, maximize work flow and efficiency.
  • Be flexible to work overtime when needed, which may be coming in early, working late, and/or working weekends.

 

Conveyor Component Specialist

Job Summary

Prepare products for shipment, complete final assembly of products and painting packaging of products, and help ensure on time shipments that ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extensive use of tools associated with the assigned job task.
  • Pay attention to quality and help ensure that the customer receives only the highest quality product.
  • Establish good communications and working rapport with team members to insure that a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
  • Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
  • Stand continuously for a 8 hour shift with overtime as required by company.
  • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
  • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company.
  • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is a requirement. Overtime as required by the company.

    WELDER FITTER

    Job Summary

    Fit and weld Douglas conveyor components and engineered solutions. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment and able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Help ensure on time shipments and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

    • Establish good communications and working rapport with supervisors, engineers and manufacturing personnel to insure a high level of customer service is delivered.
    • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
    • Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
    • Stand continuously for an 8 hour shift with overtime as required by company.
    • Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
    • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude.
    • Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player and handling other assigned tasks as required by the company.
