Regional Sales Manager

Summary

We are seeking a regional sales manager to lead and grow our sales in the Mid-Southern part of the United States: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana. You will be responsible for setting and achieving sales goals, developing and executing sales plans, working with Manufacturers’ Representative, and calling on Distributors, OEMs, and end users.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in sales management, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the market and customer needs. You must live in the territory, and you should also be able to travel frequently in the assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and implement regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with the company’s objectives and vision
  • Support, coach, and motivate manufacturer representatives to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  • Evaluate and monitor the territory’s performance and provide feedback and a plan of action.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and identify opportunities and challenges for sales growth
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and accounts, and ensure their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Collaborate with other regional sales managers and management to share best practices, insights, and ideas
  • Manage the sales budget and expenses for the region, and ensure compliance with the company’s policies and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a regional sales manager, area manager, or similar sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve sales goals, and to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM software, and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to travel frequently within the region, and occasionally to other regions or headquarters
  • Knowledge of the Mid-Southern part of the United States region market, customer preferences, and industry trends

Fitter/Welder (2 PositionS Available)

Summary

Responsible for fitting and welding of pulleys and/or special products. Extensive use of welding equipment and fitting equipment is required. Must be able to read, understand, and build from engineered prints/drawings. Must currently possess or be able to attain AWS-required welding certification within the first 6 months of employment. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and delivery of a quality product.

  • Understand Douglas products and the mechanical applications in which they are used.
  • Read a tape measure to within 1/16 of an inch and understand engineered drawings.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
  • Stand continuously for an 8-hour shift with overtime as required by the company.
  • Apply verbal and written communication skills to communicate important issues to management and co-workers.
  • Continually exhibit the qualities of trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.

    CNC Programmer/Operator

    Summary

    Responsible for programming, operating and maintaining CNC machining equipment. This includes programming, loading and unloading of machines, operating the machines, cleaning and maintaining the machines as directed. Machines included are CNC lathes, CNC mills, and end mills, and other types of equipment required to perform this job. This individual is responsible for helping to ensure timely deliveries and a quality product.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Extensive use of equipment and machinery associated with the assigned job task.
    • Establish good communications and working rapport with team members to help ensure a high level of customer service is delivered.
    • A high level of attention to detail is essential.
    • Write programs in M and G code for the CNC equipment.
    • Experience with Fanuc Controls.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
    • Ability to read blueprint/drawing, write and edit CNC programs and trouble shoot CNC problems.
    • Make program adjustments and alter set-up on CNC equipment.
    • Set-up and operate CNC lathes, and mills.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
    • Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
    • Read a tape measurer, micrometer and understand engineered drawings.

        Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician

        Summary

        The Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician ensures the operational efficiency of electrical and mechanical systems within the facility. This role involves regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical and electrical equipment to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery. The technician will be skilled in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems.
